- The Bishop David Evans and His Family Second Edition CD
is still available to those of you who were not able to obtain one at
the Grand Gathering. You can send your name, address and a check ($10.00
per CD) to the Bishop David Evans Family Association, 172 West 400
South, Lehi, Utah 84043 and we'll mail them to you.

- Additional Bishop David Evans Coloring Books have been
printed and are available to those who were not able to get one at the
Grand Gathering. Just send your name, address and a check ($3.00 per
coloring book) payable to the Bishop David Evans Family Association, 172
West 400 South, Lehi, Utah 84043 and we'll mail them to you.

- A number of descendants requested a copy of the presentation David
Evans: A view of His Character. The text of the presentation has
been added to the Library.
- 6/22/01-6/23/01
- The Grand Gathering and Statue Dedication was held in Lehi, Utah. We
hope that all enjoyed the events and wish to thank you for attending.
The dedicated statue in Pioneer Park will provide a lasting monument to
Bishop David Evans and his pioneering role in Lehi. A summary and
pictures of the Grand Gathering and Statue Dedication will be posted in
the next few weeks.

- Three pictures of David Evans at different ages have been added to the
Biography page. Although the actual dates of
the pictures are not known, the youngest is probably from the 1850's,
the middle aged picture is probably from the 1860's and the eldest
picture is probably from the late 1870's or early 1880's before David
Evans death.
- 12/18/00
- A Research Links page has been added with links to a number of
genealogical sites with information related to locations where David Evans lived.
- 12/8/00
- The David Evans Ancestry page has been updated. You can now
browse a compiled ancestry of David Evans. We'll continue to update and refine the
ancestry as information is collected. A research paper written by Kirk Anderson, "Searching for David Evans Grandfather" has also been
linked from the Ancestry page.
- 10/28/00
- The Provo Daily Herald published a story titled Lehi
colonizer honored (also David
Evans descendants and Wives
of David Evans) mentioning the upcoming Grand Gathering and the David Evans statue
that will be dedicated in Lehi in June 2001.
- 8/29/00
- The History page has been updated with a timeline of many of
the events in the life of David Evans.
- 7/21/99
- The genealogy section of the book Bishop David Evans and His Family has been
made available in the Descendants page. A GEDCOM file
of the descendant information is also available from this page.
- 4/8/99
- The first two sections of the book Bishop David Evans and His Family have been
scanned into an online format and posted in the Family Library.
- 3/31/99
- The David Evans Bronze Monument is well under way. When
complete the life size statue is to be placed in Lehi City as a monument to Bishop David
Evans.
- 3/31/99
- Jonathan Bronson is the sculptor of the David Evans Bronze
monument. You can find more about Mr. Bronson on the sculptor page.
- 3/31/99
- A Family Grand Gathering is being planned in 2001. An
outline of proposed activities is available.
