Bishop David Evans Family Grand Gathering

The following outline is a proposed schedule of activities and events for the Grand Gathering. It’s only a skeleton outline; we’ve left out all the details. It will be an eventful fun time, with many choices for everyone attending. Every effort will be made to keep costs at a minimum.

For those needing accommodations there are several nice motels and restaurants in Lehi. More specific information will be given in the future about everything, including lodging and additional activities in the area for families desiring to build a vacation around the Grand Gathering.

Friday:	Registration and Musical Program
Till 6:30pm	Registration
7:00pm	Musical Program With a Pioneer Theme
Saturday:	Opening, Dedication, Family Activities and Closing
Till 9:15am	Registration
9:30am	Opening Meeting
11:00am	Statue Dedication
11:45am-1:30pm	Catered Lunch
1:00pm-5:30pm	Family Related Activities Sharing of David Evans histories and genealogical information History of David Evans video Purchase of David Evans materials, such as David Evans Family History on CD Guided tours of historical Lehi with emphasis on David Evans family locations Edwin Evans paintings at Lehi High School Lehi Cemetery family grave site tour Social room for visiting and reconnecting with family members Story telling room using family stories from histories and family traditions Activities for Younger Children Buggy or wagon rides Pioneer races and games David Evans Family coloring book Pioneer demonstrations similar to the American West activities in Logan, Utah (Examples: spinning, forging, leatherwork and candle making.)
5:30pm-6:30pm	Catered Western BBQ in the Park
7:30pm	Final Meeting With All David Evans Descendants Singing Presentation of colors by Mormon Battalion Guest speaker
