About The Bishop David Evans Family AssociationDuring the late 1960's The Bishop David Evans Family Association undertook the task of researching and collecting information about David Evans and his descendants including original documents, photographs, histories and genealogies. The culmination of this work was the publishing of a book entitled "Bishop David Evans and His Family" in 1972. When the book was published there were an estimated 5000 descendants of David Evans.1 Shortly after the publication the family association was disbanded. At present, 1998, there has been a new generation or more added to the descendants of David Evans. A rekindling of feelings for preservation and a desire for descendants to reawaken a knowledge of their heritage has brought about the reorganization of The David Evans Family Association. The family association is also planning a gathering of descendants of David Evans for June 23, 2001 to reacquaint ourselves and to participate in a celebration of our heritage. A full size bronze statue of this founding pioneer will be erected in Lehi City at the gathering. If you are a descendant of David Evans, please complete the Descendant of David Evans Form on the registration page or contact marilynn@davidevans.org.
