Goates, Salt Lake City, Utah. Family Tradition: Israel Evans was born on a ship while his parents were coming to the American Colonies. Israel said on various occasions that he was the twenty-first child in his father's family. It is believed that Israel's father was Welch and his mother was German.Married 4 OCT 1802
